I wanted to say something that I feel is deeply important; although the words are simple and can be taken at a superficial level, they reach deeply into the soul if given the time and consideration. I created a piece that I think is visually very attractive, using the diamond patterns of the festive harlequin, but made the words less immediately available to the eye so the viewer is drawn into the piece, so that they give it closer attention and time for thought.
Essentially, it's about reminding the viewer to remember to honour and to be who they really are.
