LIGHT -
Sometimes it's not about what is illuminated, but the quality of the light itself that is the subject of the shot.
SANTA LUCIA -
For five years I was privileged to photograph the wonderful candle-lit festival of Santa Lucia in York Minster: the choir changes from year to year but the essence of this festival of light remains the same.
PERFORMANCE -
In performance situations the light is normally whatever you can get, but capturing something of the creative expression in the occasion is both challenging and rewarding.
WEDDINGS I HAVE KNOWN -
Although shunned by many photographers, I loved shooting weddings for those very reasons - you have to get it right first time, every time, and still have an eye open for the spontaneous and the unexpected.
